I sincerely & fraternally hope your Holiday Season was filled with happiness and time well spent with your families, time for fun, along with some relaxation. On behalf of all of our Brothers at Konosioni Lodge No. 950, we would like to wish all Brothers and Masonic Families a very Healthy, Happy, and prosperous New Year!!
I would like to take this time to acknowledge Brother Edward Stone of our Lodge. He has been nationally recognized as a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He was also recently seen on T.V. and had an article written about him by R:.W:. William Vassily. This article appeared in “The Empire State Mason” magazine. It is a great honor to have him as a member of our Lodge. Brother Edward Stone was born in 1923 and has been a member of Konosioni No. 950 since 1959. Brother Ed is a perfect example of how Masonry can be a major part of our life, for our entire life.
We were very proud, and excited to have 15 new Brothers come into our Lodge for their first steps in Masonry and their EA degree ceremony.
Our Holiday collection for Toys for Kids & Bike donations. We have been so fortunate to have so many work together as diligently as they have to donate approximately 800 toys, and over 20 bikes. These Toys & Bikes were delivered to; Peace Inc. E. Syracuse, Klim Center (near LeMoyne College), and some individual families that we delivered to just in time for the holiday’s.
We are also right now working on a specially designed bike for a child with special needs. This bike is primarily custom made and will be built especially for this child.
Hats, Coats, and Glove drive. This year we sent more than ever before!
Our Annual St. John’s Family Holiday Celebration was on Thursday, December 18th. What an awesome time!! It was very well attended by our Brothers and their families. It was great to see all the families together for this great occasion, all enjoying an Italian feast dinner. The dinner was planned by our JW Azan Hosein, and much of the preparation and cooking was done by Brother Dave Bersani.
Entering into this new year...we may think about what we have accomplished in the past year. We must now look at the path that is lit in front of us, and what awesome opportunities may be there for this year. By thinking of at two things every morning that we are fortunate for, it helps us to accept more, therefore makes us feel better about giving more.
As I have in each previous month, I would like to thank, our great line of Officers, Brethren, and the families involved in our Lodge events.
If there is any Brother in distress or in need of assistance in any manner, please do not hesitate to contact me.
