DDGM April Word Article

Brethren, I bring you Fraternal Greetings from the MW William J Thomas, Grand Master of Masons in the State of New York.

The District Town Hall Meeting that was held in March was well attended and well received.  A lot of insight as to the future of Masonry and our Grand Lodge programs was shared and looks promising.  Thank you to The DGM RW Jeffrey M Williamson for providing this opportunity.

March 28th, we hosted a Mason night at the Syracuse Crunch, with a Safety Id program as well.  Additionally, the Lodges and Masons of Onondaga District sponsored underprivileged kids from the Elmcrest Childrens Center to also attend the game that same evening.  This was a great opportunity for us.  This is what “we” as Masons do.

April brings our next MWD’s meeting on April 30th, to be held in Fayetteville at 7:30pm.

It’s also time to start planning and making reservations for our Grand Lodge trip in May.  If you’re taking the bus, the forms have already been sent out to your Master and Secretary.  If you need another one, please just contact me or send me an email and I can forward a copy to you.

The Grand Master has asked for a "wish list" that our Trustees would like for our beloved residents at the Masonic Care Community in Utica. The link to the MCC's wish list is below, we ask that you please consider reviewing it and seeing if you can help:

VOLUNTEERS FOR OUR LIBRARY: Our Library in both Utica and NYC is embarking on a few ambitious projects, and needs some volunteers. They are scanning materials for electronic distribution, and will need help feeding pages into the scanners and reviewing for clarity. Projects start in the Spring, and interested volunteers should contact the Director now for more details and scheduling. Please call:RW Tom Savini, Library Director, (212) 337-6619

May the Blessing of the Great Architect of the Universe be with you and your family, may he watch over all our servicemen and women that protect this great country of ours.
