District Deputy Grand Master
Onondaga District
How
will
March
come
in?
Like
a
lion
or
a
lamb?
I
began
my
term
as
DDGM
with
a
lion
of
a
September
back
in
2006
in
celebration
of
the
Fraternity’s
225th
Anniversary
in
New
York.
I
hope
to
go
out
the
same
way.
On
Saturday,
March
29th
we
will
hold
the
first
Onondaga
District
Table
Lodge
at
Pensabene’s
Casa
Grande
on
State
Fair
Blvd.
in
Syracuse.
This
should
prove
to
be
an
evening
of
great
fun
as
most
Table
Lodges
are
known
to
be.
It
will
be
for
Brothers
only
and
dress
will
be
dark
suit
&
tie.
The
cost
will
be
$35
&
will
include
a
commemorative
“firing
glass”
–
see
the
notice
elsewhere
in
the
WORD
for
more
details.
I
encourage
Lodges
and/or
Brothers
to
consider
bringing
(and
paying
for)
anyone
who
may
be
considering
joining
the
Craft.
Please
come
out
&
celebrate
Masonry
in
the
Onondaga
District.
Reservations
are
due
by
March
12th.
The
DeMolay
resurrection
continues
as
five
Brothers
from
the
Onondaga
District
completed
the
Advisor
Training
in
February.
Along
with
myself
were
W\Bob
Torrell,
W\
Rich
Torrey,
Brother
Drew
D’Angelo
and
Brother
Frank
Kennedy.
We
can
now
petition
for
a
new
chapter
(or
resurrect
the
last
one)
and
hold
our
first
interest
meeting
for
new
members
in
April.
Notices
will
soon
go
out
so
if
you
are
a
Brother
with
a
son,
grandson,
or
nephew
between
the
ages
of
12
and
21,
please
consider
joining
us.
If
you
have
past
DeMolay
experience,
either
as
a
member
or
Advisor,
we
would
really
appreciate
your
assistance
in
this
endeavor.
All
are
welcome.
Balances
are
now
due
for
those
traveling
to
Grand
Lodge
in
May.
I
will
send
letters
out
to
everyone
involved
detailing
what
they
owe.
Please
mail
your
checks
to
me
promptly
as
I,
in
turn,
need
to
write
a
single
check
to
Oswego
District’s
R\W\
Garry
Visconti.
Reservations
to
the
Grand
Masters
Dinner
need
to
be
made
through
Grand
Lodge
in
advance.
This
Child
ID
Program
is
very
active
in
the
Onondaga
District
with
many
sessions
throughout
the
year
including
the
Great
New
York
State
Fair.
The
cost
to
run
the
State
Fair
session
is
quite
high
and
the
program
is
in
need
of
funding
after
its
coffers
were
depleted
from
last
year’s
Fair.
I
encourage
all
the
Masonic
Bodies
in
the
Onondaga
District
to
donate
to
this
very
worthwhile
program.
I
would
like
to
congratulate
Rev.
Randy
Bishop
who
was
recently
named
a
Grand
Chaplain
by
our
Grand
Master,
MW
Neal
I.
Bidnick.
R\W\
Bishop
is
a
Brother
of
Memorial
Lodge
No.
648.
Masters,
Wardens
&
Deacons
meets
on
Wednesday,
March
26th
at
the
Memorial
Masonic
Center
in
North
Syracuse
@
7:30
PM.
All
are
welcome.
